Features

The phone app

The Resound app is your soundboard: tabs of buttons that play on your PC. Everything you change in it (favorites, colors, layouts) is saved on the PC, so all your devices show the same board.

Play and stop

  • Tap a button to play its sound. A bar fills the button while it plays. Sounds can overlap.
  • STOP (bottom right) stops all sounds at once.
  • Pause and resume: while something plays, a play/pause button appears in the top bar.
  • Talk-through: hold the microphone button next to STOP. The sounds pause and your microphone is live, so you can say something; let go and they continue. Push-to-talk stays held meanwhile.

Tabs

Each sound folder is a tab at the bottom. Tap a tab, or swipe left and right over the buttons. Favorites is the first tab.

To arrange the tabs, enter edit mode (the pencil at the top), then long-press a tab and drag it. The order is saved for all devices.

Tap the magnifier at the top, or pull down on the buttons with two fingers. Search finds sounds in every tab, also with parts of words or a typo, and the colored dots filter by button color. Results play like any button.

Customize a sound

Long-press a button, or enter edit mode and tap it, to open its settings:

  • ♡ Favorite: adds it to the Favorites tab and to the in-game overlay.
  • Preview: plays it on your PC's “You hear” device only, so only you hear it.
  • Volume Adjustment: this sound's own volume, for you and for others. The middle is the normal volume.
  • Button Color and Button Emoji: an emoji shows large in the button's background.

Layouts

In edit mode:

  • the layout button at the top switches this tab between 3 columns, 2 columns and a list;
  • drag buttons to put them in your own order.

Tap ✅ to leave edit mode.

App settings

The gear at the top opens the app's settings:

Setting What it does
Keep Screen On The screen doesn't turn off while the app is open (on by default)
Fullscreen Hides the browser's bars; the installed app is fullscreen anyway
Vibrate on Tap A short vibration on play and stop (Android)
Menu Buttons on the Left Moves the top bar's buttons to the left
Reset Page colours, Page layout, or All colours and layouts. Hold until it fills, then tap to confirm. Applies to all devices
PC Switch PC, Tour (a short walk through the app), Install the app

A long press on the Resound logo in the bottom bar opens or closes the panel on your PC.
